Hi WindoftheStars, I'm currently trying to make a cosplay like this so I can go to an anime convention as Kyoya Ootori with a bunch of my friends. What kind of fabric did you use for the jacket?

I bought a pair of wedges off of ebay and then painted them. As for the pattern it was a Kwik Sew body suit pattern, I don't recall the number. Good luck!

I actually didn't use one specific pattern for the dress. I used a basic princess seam pattern for the bodice and the rest is comprised of circle skirts. Hope that helps and good luck!

Yes you can sand them and yes they will loose their finish. If you do sand it make sure your final sand is with a fine paper to reduce the appearnce of it being sanded. You can then spray it with resin spray (<a href="http://www.google.com/products/catalog?client=safari&rls=en&q=resin+spray&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=13055272418853064277&sa=X&ei=bK8TT6zWF8W0iQL1iNG2DQ&ved=0CDoQ8wIwAQ#ps-sellers" rel="nofollow">Link</a>) to get back it's shine. Hope that helps!

This tutorial is wonderful and it helped me a lot! However I just have one question, you mentioned you can sand these once they're done, how do you go about doing that? Cause I know that once you sand these they lose their shine and are a lot duller than before. Any suggestions?

Heya! So I'm planning on trying to squeeze in Princess Serenity for a convention later on this year. Could you send me the pattern you used for your dress, please and thank you? :)

I was wondering what you used to make the shoes. Black wedges and paint? Also, what is the pattern you used to make the body suit?

If a project involves adding on smaller pieces of craft foam for details, would you suggest gluing them onto the base before or after painting. Specifically, do you know if the mod podge and/or paint will likely affect the hot glue's ability to adhere as well?
