Personal Thoughts:
I was so excited to do this costume. It was a pair I did with my bf who was Soul in all these photos. We both really love this series and I was happy that I got to do something with him finally. :D

Construction notes: I made this a lot harder then it really needed to be. The coat is made out of moleskin. First try was icky so I tore out the front sections and re-did them. Skirt is made of red twill with the stripes made out of bias tape. TOOK FOREVER. White shirt I owned. Tie and yellow vest I bought. Gloves are temporary and will be correct next time I wear it. Shoes I got off e-bay and then painted them and added the white stripes with white vinyl. Wig is a… 24? Clover from Cosworx. Oh and buttons were all casted by me AND are available for sale if you want them. Scythe is made of PVC and wood, painted with spray paint.

OmG! What a wonderful Maka cosplay!! I am trying to start on a Maka costume as well, and was wondering what pattern you used (modified) for the cloak?
Thank you! I actually don’t remember the specific pattern I used. I just recall it was a Vouge pattern that was for a long floor length coat with princess seams. I hope that helps! Good luck.
